To better support the community, Dixie offers propane gas and oil safety training classes and simulators to our local first responders. HAZMAT and Emergency Medical Services professionals from departments throughout the Dixie service area are trained in gas and oil emergency procedures in Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, and Augusta, Albemarle, Rockbridge and Rockingham Counties, are trained in gas and oil emergency procedures in order to offer greater knowledge of how to handle what could be tricky situations. Taking the guesswork out of responding means increased safety for our responders, our local residents, and local property.
